Crazy Rabbit campaign conception (in progress)
So, my basic idea is that there is a monastery of wizards (the Thane Wizards) who sit at the Eastern edge of a mountain range (the Flintridge Mountains) who have developed a recuperative home (Haresbreath) for the various soldiers and mercenaries returning from the horrors of the war-torn border cities to the East (the Land of the March) and from the disease-ridden jungle to the south (the Gosh Gelios). The recuperative home also doubles as an asylum for those who are simply too far gone to return to the civilized world. The wizards drain and store their essence until they can cure their souls. The characters represent people who have sought out the monastery either because they have had too much of the horrors of Allusia, because they simply don’t fit in out there and now require sanctuary, or because they hope to have the Thane Wizards on their side as allies for whatever it is they want to do in this region. The characters act as a kind of strike force for the crisis that arise around the monastery or when the monastery needs to send people into the world to do research. The Thane Wizards, while powerful, are primarily sages.
So, essentially, it’s kind of like X-Men if Xavier’s school was a home for cursed and insane ex-soldiers and was set along a kind of Conan-esque frontier instead of in rural New York.
That’s what I have so far. I can adjust this or get rid of it all as needed.
